As part of the Erasmus+ CBHE JoPScip Project, a test teaching lecture titled “Contested Sovereignty: The Example of the Balkan Countries” was delivered by Milka Dimitrovska (UKIM-Skopje).
The lecture examined the political, historical, and institutional dimensions of contested sovereignty in the Balkans, highlighting the challenges of statehood, identity politics, ethnic diversity, and regional governance. Participants explored the implications of sovereignty disputes for democratic governance, political stability, and European integration in Southeast Europe through an engaging comparative perspective.
This teaching activity fostered academic exchange, encouraged interactive learning, and supported the development of innovative, internationally oriented teaching practices across the JoPScip consortium, reinforcing comparative and interdisciplinary approaches to political science education.
