GIPA organized a specialized workshop highlighting JoPScip as a successful example of how international staff mobility can evolve into a large-scale Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) project. The workshop brought together university administrators and faculty members who had previously participated in Erasmus+ KA171 mobility activities, demonstrating how academic exchanges can serve as the foundation for long-term institutional partnerships, collaborative curriculum development, and international joint degree programs.
Drawing on the experiences of both the PoSIG and JoPScip projects, participants explored the key stages of transforming mobility-based cooperation into sustainable strategic partnerships capable of delivering innovative educational initiatives.
Workshop Highlights
- The journey from Erasmus+ KA171 staff mobility to the development of a CBHE project
- Building and sustaining long-term international academic partnerships
- Strategic consortium development and effective partnership management
- Lessons learned and best practices from the implementation of the PoSIG and JoPScip projects

Impact & Outcomes
The workshop demonstrated how international mobility can serve as a catalyst for broader institutional transformation and sustainable internationalization. By showcasing JoPScip as a successful progression from staff exchanges to an internationally coordinated joint master’s program, the event inspired academic and administrative staff to pursue new collaborative initiatives and Erasmus+ opportunities. It also strengthened institutional awareness of the strategic value of international partnerships, encouraging departments to expand their engagement in joint curriculum development, capacity-building projects, and long-term European cooperation.
