Students at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA) participated in a series of interactive sessions led by visiting Professor Reinhard Heinisch (Paris Lodron University of Salzburg), bringing global perspectives directly into the classroom.
Delivered within the Comparative Politics and International Relations modules, the sessions addressed several of today’s most pressing political challenges, including the impact of conspiracy theories and populism on democratic systems, the rise of “Trumpism” and its implications for the liberal international order, and China’s evolving geopolitical strategy in a shifting global landscape.
Combining theoretical insights with real-world examples, each session encouraged critical thinking and active student engagement through open discussion and debate.
These sessions further demonstrated the value of international academic exchange in fostering a dynamic learning environment, where students connect theoretical knowledge with contemporary global developments and engage directly with leading scholars in the field.
